Iowa Gun Dog Club is the
organization for the hunter who wants to do more than
just hunt with his or her dog during hunting season. The
club promotes the training and use of pointing dogs in the sport
of upland bird hunting in order to enjoy the sport to its highest
potential.
We have a general meeting
once a month with information on club activities, tips and ideas regarding upland
hunting, dog training and NSTRA trial related concerns.
The club sponsors many
events throughout the year. Some of the more popular events
are training sessions, training seminars by professional trainers,
NSTRA (National Shoot to Retrieve) Field Trials, Pheasant
Championship Trials, and a Youth Pheasant Hunt.
Membership is Fifty
dollars ($50) annually, due January 1st for the following year.
The Iowa Gun Dog Club
meetings are held on the THIRD WEDNESDAY of
each month at Felix and Oscar's Restaurant 4050 Merle Hay Road at
7:30 P.M.
Just North of Sears in Merle Hay
Mall, Des Moines, Iowa.
Next Meeting December 17th.
Iowa Gun Dog
training days are the 1st Sunday of each month and the Sunday
following the Wednesday meeting which will usually be the 3rd
